# Legacy storage retirement

> Export existing evaluation and training samples before November 6, 2026

The platform's legacy evaluation and training sample storage will be retired on **Friday, November 6, 2026**. Request and download your archive before that date to keep a copy of your existing data. Exporting and downloading the archive is free.

**Existing data is not migrated automatically.** The archive preserves a copy for your own records; it cannot be imported directly into Prime Traces. Any new uploads to Prime Traces incur the [normal ingestion and storage charges](/traces/pricing-and-settings).

## Continue using legacy storage during the transition

Legacy sample storage remains available until retirement. Runs using the [Prime Runs opt-out controls](/traces/pricing-and-settings#opt-out-for-a-run-or-client) send their samples to legacy storage instead of Prime Traces during this period.

Legacy storage is distinct from the legacy verifiers environment runtime. Selecting an environment runtime is not the same as choosing trace storage. The retirement described here concerns evaluation and training sample storage, not model checkpoints or adapters.

## Request and download an archive

1. For team data, select the appropriate team workspace first. Then open your [personal settings](https://app.primeintellect.ai/dashboard/profile?tab=profile) or [team settings](https://app.primeintellect.ai/dashboard/team-profile).
2. Select **Request export** in the export banner. You can switch tabs or refresh while the archive is being prepared.
3. Once it is ready, return to the same page and select **Download archive**.
4. Confirm that the archive has downloaded to your device. Requesting an export alone does not save a local copy.

Repeat these steps for every workspace where you have legacy data.

## Archive limitations

The archive is a copy of legacy data, not a Prime Traces import package. Do not send it directly to `prime traces upload`. The new service expects [supported trace or episode records](/traces/uploading#supported-records).

Free archive export does not include free ingestion into Prime Traces. Prime Traces itself also has no egress fees.

If you cannot see the export banner, an export fails, or you are unsure which data is affected, contact [support@primeintellect.ai](mailto:support@primeintellect.ai) before the retirement date.
