Contribution FAQ
Frequently asked questions when contributing to compute pools
Grouping for Smaller GPUs in SYNTHETIC-2
If you’re contributing a node with a GPU that can’t fit an entire model in memory (e.g. A6000, RTX4090, etc.) your node will be grouped with other similar nodes for SYNTHETIC-2.
It may take longer for your node to start contributing since it needs to wait for other nodes to join to form a proper pipeline-inference group.
How are contributions calculated?
Contributions go up every time your worker submits data to the network. Typically, the more powerful the hardware, the more submissions your worker will make, and hence the more contributions will be earned.
For SYNTHETIC-2, it may take up to 24 hours for contributions to start increasing since the generated sequences are very long.
Will these contributions translate to future rewards?
Any compute contributed to pools is purely a donation and for testing purposes only.
